Using an illustration programme

As practise for creating our own our CD cover, we had the task of recreating a 'Green Day' album cover. We used a program called Corel Draw, where we followed a step by step tutorial on how to make our own. The image below on the left is the album cover that we had to replicate, and the image on the right are the tools that we used and traced to create the album.

We had to use the tools above and used the Corel Draw program to trace the objects, by using the stencil and pen tools. This gave us the basic shapes that we needed in order to recreate the album cover. Once we had created the main feature of the hand, we then added in the colours and the background which were more straight-forward to add, then we found the most similar font and added the finishing touches to our album. The two images below are photos i took as i made progress throughout the making of the album cover.
